As an Indonesian language tutor, I love guiding students to go beyond grammar and vocabulary and experience the rhythms, stories, and traditions that bring the language to life. Growing up in the Bornean rainforest, I learned from my mother’s ancestral wisdom and daily subsistence living—a foundation that shaped my teaching as interconnected, immersive, and rooted.
With a background in Biology and Sustainable Development, I bring an interdisciplinary lens to my lessons. By blending scientific curiosity with cultural storytelling, I help students gain both structure and soul in their learning. My goal is simple: to create a classroom that feels natural, just like the forest I grew up in.Показать перевод

My teaching experience spans both formal and informal settings—from international schools in Bali to over five years of private tutoring. With an interdisciplinary background, I take a holistic approach to teaching, helping students not only master the subject but also connect it to the bigger picture.
I enjoy bringing real-world examples from biology and sustainable development into my lessons, making learning both engaging and relevant. Being myself a science journalist and a travel writer, I was first attracted by Diana’s profile who, in addition of being a teacher, is also a biologist and a poet. So many skills and qualities that she uses for her teaching, making my study a moment of pleasure during which I make progress in Indonesian much faster than I hoped or imagined. A choice that really I do not regret.
