Marika Romano

Marika is not only one of my favorite teachers but one of my favorite people as well. She’s someone who I’ve been doing lessons with for many years now and will continue to do so. I’m so glad that I chose her because every lesson has been great and is very nice and caring.

Another great lesson with Marika. She is easygoing, sweet, and most importantly for intermediate speakers like myself, patient. She doesn't try to rush you or complete your sentences for you which I appreciate greatly. It's good to develop a thought process for yourself in your target language and Marika allows you to do so. She is becoming one of my regular tutors for Italian now. Would recommend.

Marika is a trustworthy teacher and very ethic. She doesn’t try to rush or drag things for her own benefit. If you are a committed and respectful student, you should book a lesson with her. She is also very kind and patient. Tell her beforehand the topic you want to address and she will definitely adapt to it.

My first lesson with Marika. Grazie mille (thank you very much) Marika. It was challenging yet engaging and as Marika's profile says, "Your level doesn't matter and mistakes are welcome - that's where you learn!" I was very self-conscious and nervous during the activity we did but Marika was very, very supportive, kind, encouraging, and helpful (not to mention patient). She was also generous :).

I was not satisfied with the discussion with Marika. She is very arrogant and pushy and did not listen to what I was saying. We were discussing how I want to learn a language the polyglot way. Because it involves less time with a teacher and more self study, she was trying to push something that didn't make sense for me to make more money. This is very sad. I would recommend thinking seriously about whether you want such a tutor who doesn't act in the student's best interest.
