Welcome! I am Ece and I am originally from Istanbul. I recently graduated from Boğaziçi University and did molecular biology and genetics. But currently, I am living in Vienna and doing my Master's degree at Vienna University. I have been learning English for about 14 years and I use it on daily basis. I can also speak German and teach Turkish and English using German. I enjoy learning new languages and traveling. I particularly enjoy playing ultimate frisbee and SCUBA diving. I have a special interest in sustainable practices and hope to work in that area.Показать перевод

I've been teaching languages here on Italki for the past 4 years. I have had over 100 students, each with different goals and needs. I am experienced in creating personalized learning materials for my students and making sure it is a lasting habit for them to study their target language. Language learning should be fun. So rather than learning unnecessary amounts of grammar, I encourage everyone to immerse themselves with the language via songs, videos, news and books. At first lessons, I will get to know the level and the interest of my students. I will recommend some free source they can use to learn English or Turkish.
Reading: assign small articles we can discuss on, I will write small essays with the new words/phrases you've learned in our lessons
Speaking: discussion on a topic of your interest, creating hypothetical daily occurrences and act it out together
Learning Vocab: I will ask you to take note of the new word you've learned every week, give assignment for you to translate songs from your target language
Listening: find cool podcast for you to listen, lullabies

Ece ist eine super freundliche Lehrerin und der Unterricht mit ihr macht mir sehr viel Spaß! Ich hatte heute bereits meine 8. Unterrichtsstunde und freue mich auf viele weitere! Sie erklärt alles sehr verständlich und nimmt sich immer Zeit Fragen zu beantworten. Besonders super finde ich es, dass sie mich fordert, indem ich regelmäßig Hausaufgaben bekomme und selbstständig Texte schreibe. So lerne ich viel effektiver, bleibe motiviert und ich merke schon die Fortschritte. Vielen lieben Dank Ece!💕

Ece is an excellent teacher. In the 4 years I lived in Turkey I tried to learn Turkish many times but only managed to learn a handful of words. With Ece, I am improving quickly and feel motivated to work harder and achieve better results. I highly recommend her!

Ich finde Ece macht das richtig gut, sie stellt sehr gute Fragen und regt einen an, zu überlegen, dass man selbst auf die Antwort kommt. Sie kann sehr gut erklären und es macht sehr viel Spaß mit ihr! Ich kann sie nur jedem weiterempfehlen! :)

Ece is a great teacher. She is always prepared. She’s very engaging and is great at explaining the language! I would highly recommend her. I will definitely book more classes when my schedule opens up. You will not be disappointed.
