I'm a native British English speaker with several years professional and teaching experience. I studied Hispanic Studies and Linguistics at university and also have a masters degree in Translation Studies. I have worked in the IT, Hospitality and Engineering sectors and have taught English in Cuba, Spain, Japan and Myanmar. I have taught a variety of different students from one on one classes to groups and English for special purposes. My hobbies include Rugby, Football, Yoga, Cooking and Travel.Показать перевод

I have taught at University, Language Schools, High School and a Maritime Training Centre. I began my teaching career whilst still in high school as a teaching assistant in French and German classes. My first TEFL teaching experience was at the University of Havana where I taught a first year university group. After finishing my own university studies I did an internship in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain where I also taught as a freelance English teacher. I then worked in the Training department of a multinational software company before training as a TEFL teacher at a language school in Madrid, Spain. I have learned various styles during my teaching career. I prefer to do a needs assessment of the student(s) and adapt accordingly. In terms of preparation of materials, I've found Gaba Corporation in Japan and Vaughan Systems in Spain have very good structures which can be used to teach any aspect of English. I like to gamify my lesson to make help with the acquisition of language as opposed to just memorisation. I prefer confidence and fluency over accuracy, very much in the style of communicative language teaching. Though if a student likes focusing grammar and accuracy, I'm happy to adapt to that.Мой учебный материал
