Hello!
My name is Teodora and I am a full-time professional Swedish teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Scandinavian languages, literature and culture. I specialized in teaching Swedish as a second language at Uppsala University which means that I can help you understand Swedish inside and out.

I have been teaching Swedish for six years in private language schools, online and in companies. Today, I am an owner and teacher at Learn Swedish Lab - online school. As a teacher, I underline the importance of interaction and therefore are my classes student-centered. The goal is to produce meaningful and real communication at all levels, and prepare students for life / language exam (YKI, Swedex C1, Tisus) / work in Sweden. I teach beginner, intermediate and advanced Swedish. During the trial lesson, we can together choose a suitable course and level for you.

I also provide additional practice/homework material and check it before each lesson.
Tests: SWEDEX C1 EXAM PREPARATION (SWEDEX C1 PROV), YKI TEST Swedish for Finnish citizenship, TISUS test.

Бакалавр - Scandinavian Languages, Literature and CultureThe main focus of my degree was modern Swedish, Scandinavian literature and culture. There was also strong focus on linguistic subjects with perspective on both Swedish and other language groups. I studied educational psychology, language acquitision and English as my minor. My courses are listed in the attached document.

Swedish teacher and translatorI have a few years' experience in teaching Swedish to teenagers and adults as well as translating in Swedish, English and Serbian. This experience is valuable because I could find out which learning methods give best results for my students and what I as a teacher should do to motivate them. Absolutely loving the journey of learning Swedish with Teodora over the past 10 months!
Starting my learning path from scratch, I genuenly enjoy our lessons and am always looking forward to them.
Just the other day, I got to test my Swedish in the wild during a sight examination at optician's. A 40-minute conversation in Swedish only. Sure, it was challenging, embarrassing, and definitely out of my comfort zone, but it was a giant milestone. And while a lot of my effort has gone into this progress, it is largely Teodora's merit thanks to her guidance and support.
She's been an amazing and highly engaging tutor!

Teodora is such a professional teacher. Always show up on time with a big smile on her face. My purpose for learning Swedish was to pass the YKI test, Finland national language certificate. I've been taking classes with Teodora over the past 11 months, which helped me finally start speaking Swedish. Classes are intense but fun, Teodora always comes prepared so you have a plan for the class. Big focus on the grammar, pronunciation and spoken language expressions. I truly enjoyed our classes, always felt uplifted afterwards. Friendly and professional teacher, which I strongly recommend.
