Soy colombiana y estudiante de lenguas extranjeras en la Universidad del Valle, así que he estado muchas veces en tu lugar, aprendiendo un nuevo idioma. He estudiado inglés, francés y japonés. Pienso que es fascinante y genial aprender un nuevo idioma, me encanta entender palabras que antes no entendía, por eso escogí mi carrera.

I’m colombian and a student of foreign languages at Universidad del Valle, so I’ve been many times in your place facing a new language, since I’ve studied English, French and Japanese. Sara is a wonderful teacher. She has a real talent for languages -- both studying and speaking them herself, and teaching them to others. She is also very encouraging, and helps students improve by answering questions and making corrections when necessary. If you are looking for a teacher, I highly recommend her.

Was debating if I should write this in Spanish but I want people just starting to learn to understand.
I’ve taken multiple classes with Sara and her positive energy is very contagious and I believe it’s super important to be surrounded by those vibes during this journey. She’s great at explaining things and knows how to create a fun environment in all the classes. She’s great at teaching grammar and new vocabulary BUT if you just want to have a conversation she’s great at listening, always asks good questions, tells great stories and perspectives and most importantly, is great at correcting your mistakes! Overall, I highly recommend taking a class with her just because it’s fun, engaging and productive!

This was my first lesson with Sara and I really enjoyed it. She had great energy, pleasant, gave corrections in the moment, but what I appreciated the most about her was that she gave me time to put my thoughts together. I didn't feel rushed, so was more relaxed.
I have only taken a few lessons on italki over the last year. I decided to give italki a try again. This was a great class to get back in the groove. I will definitely book more classes with Sara... I highly recommend her!

I had a great class today with Sara: her positive energy really helped me feeling comfortable during the lesson. Sara is great because she really listens to you and is interested about you and your needs, her great attitude really creates the perfect environment.

Sara is amazing. I'm very new to learning Spanish and was very nervous going in, but Sara created an environment where we could have a real life conversation without the pressure. The best way to practice your Spanish is by speaking it, and Sara is a great person to start that journey with.
