Hello guys, I’m Nuno and I’m a Portuguese teacher from Porto, a city in the north of Portugal.
I am a very active person. I love to read, to write and also to practice sports and watch movies.
One of my biggest dreams is to travel to japan.

Like Jorge Luis Borges said: it's important to teach the language but, above of all, we should teach the love for the language.
I consider myself to be a patient and hardworking teacher. I never give up on my students.
I always try to adjust the classes to the student and his/ her needs.
Since I have a degree in Portuguese language I'm able to teach grammar (even advanced grammar) and I can teach both written and spoken Portuguese.
I also have a master’s degree in Portuguese Literature.

I can teach both in a formal and informal way. I believe that the key to success when it comes to learning a new language is the constant practice and dedication.
I try to make the classes fun and I always want everybody to be happy in my classes. I usually do a lot of oral exercises, because I think that one of the best ways to learn is to communicate/to talk with a native.
Nonetheless, I share the opinion that everybody must know how to properly write. So I also put some emphasis on the written part of the language.
I like to incorporate Portuguese culture and literature into the lessons. Homework is also utilized to have consistency and learning in between lessons.Мой учебный материал

Nuno is by far the best language teacher I've ever met. I started learning PT from 0 with him back in June '21 through a language school, and by the time I moved to Portugal in Sept, I was able to communicate with people with no problems at all. Not only is he a good teacher, he is also super friendly & nice-- you can also tell how much he loves the Portuguese language (and literature). His classes are well balanced: he can teach proper Portuguese grammar, but also how people normally talk (slang, common grammar errors, etc). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I started working with Nuno in June 2021. I didn’t know any Portuguese at all. I was in a class and after a month I wanted to quit because it felt too hard. Nuno offered to tutor me so I could keep up with the class. He also encouraged me and explained things so well that learning became fun. Because of him I stuck with learning and now I am a B1 level. I am so grateful for his guidance and patience with me. I still continue to tutor with Nuno and highly recommend him to anyone new or advanced.

Nuno è un insegnante preciso e attento ai dettagli e un ottimo conversatore. Spiega con semplicità le regole grammaticali, e con efficacia, toccando argomenti di interesse e senza interrompere il flusso della conversazione. consigliatissimo!!
