Amazing! Having had classes with Xavier for exactly a year, I have to say it was a fully immersive experience in French language culture. I went from a beginner to being able to have a friendly chat with a French guy I met at a restaurant in this short time. This progress would be impossible without Xavier challenging learners from all levels to speak only French at every lesson. He would discuss with you for half an hour on a current subject about France or the news and allow you to deepen your skills quickly by discussing difficult topics. He would make you prepare speeches about articles for oral skills. Xavier is the 4th French teacher I have through italki and by far the best one! There are so many teachers on this platform and it is really a combination of luck and perseverance to find one that suits a person's needs. He is always professional, reliable and has tons of resources in the field that I have the most interest in. He never speaks English to me and always patiently explains expressions, idioms and grammar to me in French. It's really always a joy to take a class with him!

Xavier的课堂非常有趣，并且他的教学观点对我来说是比较新颖的：课堂上的宝贵时间就留给口语，可以提前构想口语内容与纲要，但是不能写下来照着读。这对于每一个进入瓶颈期的语言学习者都应该是非常有效的提升方法，老师也很幽默会懂一些中文梗，推荐！

Amazing teacher!

Xavier is fabulous! I've been taking French with Xavier for a couple of months, starting from basically zero French. He's patient, friendly, and encouraging. I like that he has a lot of organized materials that we go through systematically; it really helps us stay organized and on track. Highly recommend.
