Hi all, I’ve been taking English lessons with Jay for the past two years, and I truly appreciate his teaching methods. He tailors the lessons to my needs and prepares topics based on my interests. At the end of every class, we go through my mistakes together—a method that works very well for me. In addition to my own lessons, my two sons (aged 13 and 9) have also studied with Jay. Their progress has been remarkable. Jay is excellent at adapting his teaching style to suit each child’s English level and personality. My children really enjoyed their lessons with him. My older son worked on speaking and grammar. He created presentations on topics he enjoys and discussed them with Jay, which significantly boosted his confidence and fluency. My younger son focused on reading and writing. At first, he struggled to write even a few lines, but within a couple of months, he was composing long texts with ease. I highly recommend Jay as a teacher for both adults and children.

My two sons (11 and 15) have been learning English with J.C. for a little less than a year. Their English has improved from beginner to intermediate level, mostly through reading and writing practice. I receive updates about each lesson and their study progress, and I have been very impressed with J.C.'s teaching.

Jay's IELTS preparation approach is awesome! I am a software engineer applying to study for a master’s in Germany. In order to do that, I needed an overall Academic IELTS score of 6.5. I felt confident about my listening and reading skills, but not so much about my speaking and writing. That’s why I decided to have 20 x 90 minute IELTS preparation lessons with Jay. We did four lessons a week for five weeks and concentrated on the Speaking and Writing parts of the test. Jay’s approach was outstanding. He maximized every session by reviewing my writings beforehand, so during lessons he knew exactly which errors to address and what I needed to focus on next. His method of guiding me to find my own mistakes in speaking was both patient and effective. Initially, I dreaded writing essays, yet I ended up scoring 7.0 on that section. Thanks to Jay’s regular mock exams and expert coaching, I felt fully prepared on exam day and achieved the desired overall score of 7.5. Highly recommended!

Working with J.C. greatly helped me prepare for my interview, boosting my confidence and improving my performance. I took five 90-minute lessons with J.C. to prepare for my interview at TUM, one of Germany's most prestigious universities. Before our first session, I felt nervous and unsure about the state of my interview speaking skills. In the end, there was no need to worry: J.C.'s support quickly helped me gain confidence, and my progress was excellent. In addition, he was very responsible: he reviewed my CV and motivation letter and put together a list of likely interview questions for us to practice. Imagine that most of those questions actually came up during my interview, and I was able to answer them very confidently. I highly recommend J.C. to anyone preparing for an interview: he’s a fantastic teacher and a wonderful person.
