I feel so lucky to have found Yumi せんせい as my very first Japanese tutor. From the beginning, she quickly understood my learning style and adapted to my pace perfectly. When she went on vacation, she even prepared two weeks of homework for me, that’s how dedicated she is! Whenever I struggle with something, she doesn’t just move on; she finds creative extra exercises and homework outside our usual materials to help me practice more. Our lessons are always fun and full of positive energy. I always finish class feeling happy, motivated, and inspired to keep learning. She’s very professional, never late, and always encourages me to speak my thoughts even as a beginner! Every time I get something right, she cheers me on, and it honestly makes learning Japanese feel so rewarding. I absolutely adore her teaching style and her kindness. Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without her. I truly hope we can continue this wonderful student–teacher journey for many years to come. ありがとう、ゆみせんせい！💖

It was a great lesson. I'd bought some Japanese tools, so we talked about them and the writing on the packaging. Very interesting. I got the impression that Yumi was really enjoying this -- I certainly was! There's more to discuss, so we're going to continue this in the next lesson.

Vou escrever este comentário para os brasileiros e falantes de português que estão em dúvida sobre qual professor de japonês escolher, porque eu mesma já tive essa dúvida muito tempo atrás e a deixei como última opção. Yumi-san se adequa aos interesses do aluno com a língua japonesa, usa o máximo possível de japonês nas aulas, tem uma pontualidade absurda e está sempre com um sorriso contagiante no rosto, até mesmo quando é mordida por um cachorro ou falando de suas espinhas. É um ser que brilha e, sem dúvidas, uma das melhores professoras que já tive no Italki, dentre vários de cinco idiomas e de várias nacionalidades. Tanto é que estou finalmente terminando o Minna no Nihongo Shokyu II, depois de ter enrolado por mais de quatro anos.

Even though I was a bit late because of some personal problems, the teacher was comprehensive and nice towards me. The conversation with her was nice and easygoing. I really recommend her ^^

Yumi is a great teacher. She always asks good questions to keep the conversation going and I always learn new words and phrases.
