Carolina Neves

Carolina is an amazing teacher, patient, inspiring and always positive. I've had many lessons with Carolina now, starting with no prior knowledge of Portuguese, and I was able to communicate well in Brazil during my trip in July. Thanks to lessons with Carolina, I am motivated to continue my learning and improve my linguistic skills. I would recommend Carolina to anyone who is interested in learning Portuguese from scratch or improving their ability to communicate in that language. Thanks to Carolina's patience, enthusiasm and creativity, your skills will improve in no time!

Very open, warm and enthusiastic person, teacher, friend. The list of positive qualities could go on forever. What I liked the most was that I didn’t even feel or know that I was learning so much when simply conversing with Carolina. It only became apparent with time. My skills improved dramatically over the course of just a few months up to a level where I was able to have long conversations with Brazilians no problem. This is due to a unique approach where grammar is covered in a fun way through exercises with real life and often funny examples, which include everyday expressions. She is also a very cultured person so whether you want to discuss cinema, literature or music she is ready to guide you through the vast array of what Brazil has on offer. Overall I couldn’t recommend lessons with Carolina enough. No amount of compliments do justice to how well she can explain grammar with ease, boost student’s confidence to speak and help you learn at your own pace. A rare find on Italki.
