Alberto Rossi

Alberto is an excellent teacher. I have just completed several months of lessons with him and I would highlight several particular strengths. Alberto provided some of the clearest, most efficient grammar explanations I have encountered, whether from texts or from other instructors. He complemented these instructions with exercises that pushed me to genuinely understand the grammatical usage (and that were often quite entertaining). He encouraged me to write and he carefully corrected my work. Our practice of dividing our hour between conversation and grammar instruction felt balanced and productive. I still have a long way to go but I felt that I learned quite a lot in our lessons. I highly recommend Alberto!

Alberto is a very knowledgeable, friendly teacher and as a speaker of multiple languages he is able to anticipate many of the problems that arise when learning Italian as a second language. We worked together on preparing the CILS C1 exam, and I can honestly say that I saw major improvements in not only my skills on the practice exams, but also in my overall usage of Italian. Furthermore, I appreciate Alberto's style as a teacher. He is direct and to the point, which provided me plenty of time to improve my Italian skills. His passion for teaching and knowledge of language are very clear, therefore I absolutely recommend him to those who are serious about improving their Italian or who are preparing for an exam.
