Today's lesson had a lot of variety. We looked at words that look similar but have very different meanings. We read/sang some poetry (Mwalimu Pius is even a great singer!) and also discussed various topics as they came to mind. He is very flexible and can help you with whatever your Swahili learning goals are.

As a professional Swahili teacher, Mwalimu Pius brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom. He is deeply knowledgeable about Swahili grammar, literature, history, poetry and more. We're about to dive into Swahili poetry, which is very exciting for me.

Mwalimu Pius is a Swahili master! I wanted to learn about Swahili poetry. He explained the history of it and how there are different types. He explained the origin and importance of Taarabu and provided links to some fascinating videos of it. We dove into some hardcore Swahili poetry which was very interesting. He's such a great resource for all things Swahili.

Mwalimu Pius has been a great help in explaining some tricky words and expressions in this book I'm reading. He patiently listens as I read, then clarifies things, asks questions and makes sure I understand. He's a great teacher!

Mwalimu Pius is always a huge help when I encounter difficult topics, proverbs, colloquial expressions, etc. His English is very good, so if I can't understand the explanation in Swahili, he can just switch to English to ensure I get it. He's a fantastic teacher!
