Lucas

Lucas is very patient, knowledgeable, and kind. He teaches the content in a way that is easy to understand, and is always willing to clearly explain tricky concepts. One thing I really appreciate is that he'll always give you plenty of time to think of an answer by yourself before jumping in to help. You'll learn a lot in his classes, and you'll have a fun time while doing it!

Estoy encantado con Lucas

I have been taking Latin with Lucas for about a year, and just recently started learning Ancient Greek. In both subjects he has been a fantastic teacher, and having taken lessons with other teachers on italki, I can definitely say he is one of the best. He takes the time to explain key concepts and gives great exercises to ensure mastery. In just two Ancient Greek lessons I already feel significantly more capable in my reading comprehension, and speaking abilities.

Lucas is truly a one of a kind teacher. I am quickly approaching two years of Latin learning with him. In that time, I have gone from close to zero, to reading upper intermediate and simple advanced-level texts, including a number of authentic Roman authors. We have worked through every facet of the language, from grammar, to poetry analysis. What I really appreciate about Lucas is his dedication; he has always provided me with the tools, and most importantly, the knowledge to achieve my goals. Latin is difficult, but Lucas has made the journey towards fluency much more comfortable.
