I've had over 2,000 lessons with around 100 teachers on this platform, and I can confidently say Kalissa is one of the best teachers I've learned with. Kalissa is excellent at maintaining a natural conversation and knows exactly when to correct my mistakes without interrupting the flow of the lesson. That balance makes every class engaging, comfortable, and highly effective. I also really appreciate that she always writes down new vocabulary during class, making it easy for me to review and remember everything afterward. Most importantly, she tailors every lesson to my goals and learning needs instead of following a one-size-fits-all approach. I highly recommend Kalissa to anyone looking for engaging, personalized, and effective Indonesian lessons.

I have learnt Bahasa Indo with 7 teachers and Guru Lisa is the best teacher I have had. Guru Lisa has great teaching methodology. She speaks to me in Bahasa 80% of the time at a level I can understand. We practice a lot in our lessons and I was able to learn good expressions that my Indonesian friends commended me on. One even asked if I grew up in Indo! After my lessons with her, my latest trip to Indonesia was much different than before. I could converse much better and recognize more words on road signs (by learning imbuhan), especially with all the political campaign posters. I brought my parents around, spoke to the receptionists, drivers, and servers confidently from all the practice. Drivers in JKT are curious and friendly when they hear a foreigner speaking Indo, so I was happy to be able to chat with them in Bahasa. Guru Lisa is also very hardworking. She is always early for lessons, takes notes in class and cleans them up to share later so I can focus on understanding.

Kalissa is an excellent teacher. I've been taking lessons from her for about a month now, and she has been great at explaining things and helping me understand proper pronunciation. She is very patient with me and always offers lots of encouragement. I highly recommend her as a tutor!
