Hien Vu

When i started studying with Hien my Vietnamese was very limted. I have enjoyed learning from her and her various experiences around the world. She is very caring and attentive and commited to improving her students language skills. I'm very thankful i have been able to conect with her on the Italki platform. Teachers like Hien make Italki a great place.

I have been studying with Hiền for nearly two years, and she is a highly recommendable teacher. She patiently encourages me to speak Vietnamese; our lessons are almost taking place solely in Vietnamese - and have been doing so for a long time. She has good materials, that integrate learning vocabulary, grammar, and cultural insigths. Her approach feels informal and friendly, but is clearly tailor-made to my learning goals. Also, she is supportive, knowledgable, polite, humorous, and always on time.

Hien is a friendly, patient, and knowledgeable Vietnamese teacher (northern dialect). I am learning Vietnamese full-time for an upcoming work assignment in Vietnam, and I meet with Hien a few times a week for some extra practice. She has been able to immediately adapt to my existing Vietnamese abilities, while continuing to challenge, encourage, and correct me.
