He is an excellent teacher who thoroughly explains everything, ensuring I fully understand each concept. He is always willing to slow down and revisit topics when necessary, especially when specific concepts take me a little longer to grasp. When I was struggling with some words, he broke them down into syllables and practiced them until I could pronounce them correctly. His instructional strategies are excellent, and he creates a relaxed, stress-free learning environment where I never feel overwhelmed. His support and teaching methods are genuinely appreciated.

Johnson was very polite, organised and helpful during our lesson. He laid out the lesson in a very structured way and spent time on my pronunciation in each phrase and word we went through. I'd definitely recommend his lessons to anyone looking to learn Mandarin.

Good teacher. Very friendly. He explains everything in very good detail. I've been away from the lessons for 3 years, and it was rough starting back, but he was patient.

It's been a year since I take Mandarin lessons with Johnson. While I am not a very disciplined student (I do not always finish my homework on time), Johnson kept the lessons fun and motivating so I never considered dropping out. He is flexible and can see my learning difficulties. We are now about to finish the HSK2 book, which I am really happy about.

Great lesson again! We talked about some pretty difficult topics like gun laws, poverty, artificial intelligence, and space travel, but Johnson made it very approachable by being able to explain difficult vocab well. Highly recommend taking his class!
