Sān Lǎoshī is very patient and has helped me a lot in just a 30 min “trial” lesson with intonation and tones. I am a beginner, studying only for 1 week now. My goal is fluency in 3 years and I want to speak Mandarin Chinese with an appropriate accent. She speaks English extremely well and seems to really understand where native English speakers have difficulty with pronunciation and knows how to explain the way to get it right. I am booking more lessons! Thank you. I look forward to working with her more.

The repetition and attention to detailed pronunciation is exactly what I need, and possibly more importantly what I asked for and the goal I had in mind. Sān Lăoshī’s mastery of English is also very helpful to give examples of pronunciation in my native language to help me understand.

It's such a pleasure to take lessons from April. I've been her student for 3 years! I like the way she explained complex materials so that I could understand them easily. She's very positive, friendly, and supportive.
