I have been studying with Eva for over a year at this point. I never thought it would be possible to get my Chinese to it’s current level. With a language such as Chinese it seemed daunting at first. However, her teaching style is extremely flexible so learning Chinese became manageable. I have been able to accomplish, and at the very least; better my linguistic goals for Chinese. Thanks to Eva, my listening, speaking, reading comprehension and even writing skills have grown exponentially. She is truly a great mentor and instructor.

Great teacher! I have been attending classes now for a few months and my understanding of Chinese is so much better than I ever thought possible. I never imagined I would be able to read Chinese characters so well or so quickly! The reason I have stayed with Eva is her teaching style and personality. She knows when I am just being lazy and pushes me to a higher level of difficulty. Yet this is done in a manner that does not feel overwhelming. She also has an excellent memory on what my weaknesses are and challenges me in every lesson to not become complacent, but to push myself to do better than I currently am. I highly recommend her as a teacher! The progress I have made under her instruction constantly amazes me and my local Chinese-speaking friends!

I have been learning with Eva for a long time now, since August 2024, and she has played a very important role in my language learning journey. My level was already quite advanced when we started, so our lessons have focused on refining my speaking skills over time. Through regular conversations with her, I’ve become more comfortable with both casual and formal speech, different ways of expressing myself, and a wider range of colloquial expressions. This is largely thanks to her strong conversational ability and her talent for explaining things naturally across many different topics. Eva is an excellent teacher, and I highly recommend taking a lesson with her. I hope other students can gain as much from their language journey with her as I have.

Eva was really patient even though I kept on making the same mistake numerous times, and she kindly corrected me each time. I enjoyed having a formal lesson with her and also the opportunity to chat freely like you would with a friend!

Aside from learning class content, she has day-to-day-like conversations with me - Learning has never felt more natural. When it does come to learning she is always thorough and patient with me. She also answers all my random questions that I have since I textbook answers won't always apply into real life business scenarios. She's a really wonderful teacher and does really well at what she does!

I started taking lessons with Eva at the start of this year and I'm now a few lessons in. I had never used italki before and I feel like I made an amazing choice starting with Eva. I had focussed a lot on passive input and wanted to start working on my output. Speaking had always made me nervous and Eva was super effective at making me speak and build confidence using Chinese. Her lessons are always fun and engaging and something I look forward to every time :). I can highly recommend choosing Eva as your italki teacher!
