Britney

I'm quite shy and a lot of times even in my native language English I get nervous and can't think of things to say but Britney is so patient and her comforting personality makes it easy to feel relaxed. She really tries to challenge and encourage me in speaking Tagalog so I feel I'm progressing a lot just two lessons in!

Very fun but extremely helpful class! We reviewed topics from our last lesson but today’s lesson added more to the topic and it allowed me to learn and understand more in depth with how and why we use certain markers/linkers related to pronouns and distinguishing them from being possessive, proper, plural, or singular. I was confused a bit but today’s lesson has made it much more clear… wonderful lesson and teacher!

An enjoyable part of my day! Even after a long day at work, I look forward to having class with Britney. She is so positive and encouraging, I can't help but feel uplifted and motivated when I leave her class. This is my tenth class with Britney and already I am seeing results at home. I am speaking more and more with my Filipina mother everyday and I look forward to showing off what I've learned with my Filipino friends and coworkers each day. Britney not only helps me practice my grammar and pronunciation, what I enjoy most is that it feels like our Tagalog conversations are becoming more relaxed and natural. Maraming salamat po Britney for your patience and kindness in helping me learn wikang Pilipino!

Continuing with reviewing pronouns but today’s lesson was the start of learning affixes and conjugation. Usage of affixes and conjugation is challenging but Teacher Brittney’s clear explanations and fun examples with role playing helps me understand much better. Teacher included a video for me to review and with the notes received in today’s class I have sufficient homework to help me improve!

Really enjoyable class and I feel myself progressing. The review, materials shared, and especially the role playing has helped me a lot in my learning journey. Brittney’s energy and enthusiasm keeps me motivated!
