"Reflect" uses an extensive range of engaging everyday topics relevant to daily conversation. This course represents the latest thinking on improving communication skills for everyday life. In this five book course, students will learn to become effective communicators. This course is an excellent choice on its own, or as an addition to classes in Reading Explorer. NOTE (1): The class length is "1 hour" to allow us enough time to complete a whole unit. The actual class time will be 57 mins to allow for a smooth transfer between classes. BOOK 1, UNIT 1 Students will learn essential vocabulary. Students will follow practical exercises for speaking skills and critical thinking skills. Students will study listening exercises in a range of different topics. The material is presented in the "Reflect" textbook with both audio and video content. Students will practice using the listening exercises to create their own practical understanding of the new material. For example, you will practice listening to people introduce themselves and then use a similar pattern to make your own personal introduction. Students will learn to relate the new material to their own daily experiences, and so make a practical use of the training at every stage.
