・この天気のおかげで、桜を早く見れた。
・あなたのおかげで、今日は帰りが遅くなりそう
・工事のおかげで、仕事が全然進まない

先生のおかげで、日本語が上手くなりました、と先生に言ってみてください。先生が喜ぶかもしれません。

間違っても、先生のおかげで、日本語はなかなか上手くなりません、とは言わないでください。これは皮肉、あるいは嫌味ですね。やめましょう！
