一天，爸爸带儿子去玩。回来的路上，儿子对爸爸说：”爸爸，我累了，我们坐车吧。”

”那要看你表现。”爸爸说。

儿子说：”好的，如果我表现好，我们就坐公共汽车回去；如果我表现不好，我们就坐出租车回去。”

Yī tiān , bà ba dài  ér zi qù wán 。Huí lái de lù shang ，ér zi duì bà ba shuō ：”bà ba，wǒ  lèi le ，wǒ men zuò chē ba 。”

”nà yào kàn nǐ biǎo xiàn 。”bà ba shuō 。

ér zi shuō ：”Hǎo de ，rú guǒ wǒ biǎo xiàn hǎo ，wǒ men jiù zuò gōng gòng qì chē huí qù ；rú guǒ wǒ biǎo xiàn bù hǎo ，wǒ men jiù zuò chū zū chē huí qù 。”

남한의 재벌 상속녀이자 패션 사업가인 윤세리는 패러글라이딩을 하던 중 돌발적인 강풍에 휩쓸려 북한에 불시착하게 된다. 갑작스러운 사고에 당황한 그녀 앞에 북한군 대위 리정혁이 나타난다. 정혁은 남한 사람이라는 이유만으로 위험에 처할 수 있는 세리를 보호하기 위해 그녀를 숨겨주기로 결심한다.

처음엔 서로를 경계하던 두 사람은 점점 가까워진다. 리정혁은 세리를 남한으로 돌려보내기 위해 다양한 방법을 모색하고, 그 과정에서 그녀를 지키기 위해 여러 위험을 감수한다. 북한 생활에 적응해 가는 동안, 세리는 리정혁과 그의 부하들과 정을 쌓으며 이전에는 경험해 보지 못한 따뜻함을 느낀다.

한편, 영국 국적을 가진 사업가 구승준은 남한에서 사기 행각을 벌이다 도망쳐 북한에 숨어든다. 그는 리정혁의 약혼녀인 서단과 우연히 엮이게 되고, 서로 다른 환경에서 자란 두 사람은 예상치 못한 감정을 키워간다. 하지만 리정혁과 윤세리, 그리고 구승준과 서단의 사랑은 현실의 벽 앞에서 점점 더 커다란 장애물에 부딪힌다.

윤세리를 쫓는 남한의 가족과 북한의 권력자들이 움직이기 시작하면서 그녀와 리정혁의 상황은 더욱 위험해진다. 결국, 세리는 남한으로 돌아가야만 하고, 리정혁은 그녀를 안전하게 보내주기 위해 마지막 순간까지 애쓴다.

남한에서 다시 일상을 되찾아가지만, 세리는 리정혁과의 이별로 인해 깊은 슬픔에 빠진다. 한편, 리정혁은 세리를 향한 그리움을 간직한 채 북한에서 조용히 살아간다. 그러던 어느 날, 예상치 못한 기회가 찾아오고, 두 사람은 과거의 약속이 이루어지는 곳, 스위스에서 다시 만나게 된다.

서로를 향한 사랑이 변하지 않았음을 확인한 두 사람은 그곳에서 조용하고도 행복한 시간을 보내며, 마침내 현실을 넘어선 사랑을 완성하게 된다.

Have you been busy at work lately?
B: 忙死了，每天都加班。
máng sǐ le ， měi tiān dōu jiā bān 。
Terribly busy, working overtime every day.
A: 怎么这么忙啊？
zěn me zhè me máng a ？
Why are you so busy?
B: 有个项目月底要完成，不加班根本做不完。
yǒu gè xiàng mù yuè dǐ yào wán chéng ， bù jiā bān gēn běn zuò bù wán 。
I have a project to finish by the end of the month. can't finish it at all without overtime.
A: 那等项目做完可以好好休息下。
nà děng xiàng mù zuò wán kě yǐ hǎo hao xiū xī xià 。
Then you can have a good rest when it's done.
