“Hit the Nail on the Head” *Hey everyone! Let’s dive into a useful idiom: “hit the nail on the head.” It means to say or do exactly the right thing. Imagine your friend explains perfectly to you,why you’re tired and he says
“You’ve been working too much.”
You could say, “You hit the nail on the head!” It’s great for emphasizing accuracy in ideas or actions. Can you think of a time you hit the nail on the head?

今日の天気は曇り。
今の気温は25℃。
みなさんが住んでいるところは晴れですか？雨ですか？

さて、今日は、オノマトペ、について。

みなさん、オノマトペ、という言葉を聞いたことがありますか？

もしかしたらはじめて聞くかもしれないですね。　

では、日本語で、

ざーざーとか、ポタポタとか、聞いたことがありますか？
それがオノマトペです。

オノマトペとは、
物からでる音や、気持ちなどの音がないものを文字で表したもののことをいいます。

たとえば、

ブーブー
ドキドキ
ガチャン
チリーン
ドカン

ばらばら
めろめろ
じろじろ
ふらふら

こういう言葉、聞いたことありますか？

たとえば、見る、を表現する時、英語では、
see,watch,lookなどがあり、いろいろな表現ができます。
ですが、日本語では、見る、という言葉しかないので、その前に、キョロキョロ見るとか、ジッと見るなど、オノマトペを使って表現します。


ちなみに、「onomatopēe（オノマトペ）」はフランス語だそうです。

オノマトペを上手に使うと、日本語がぐんぐんと話しやすくなるかもしれませんね。

こんばんは！Atsushiです。

和食文化について話します。
みなさんは箸を使ったことがありますか？
もしくは、今使っていますか？

日本人は、小さいころは箸の持ち方を注意されるなど、箸の作法は家族の中で教えられることが多いと思います。

今回は、箸の使い方で気をつけてほしいものをピックアップしてお話しします。


嫌い箸
移り箸ー一旦取りかけてから、他の料理を取る
迷い箸ーどれを取ろうか、料理の上で箸を動かすこと
渡し箸ーご飯の途中で箸を食器の上に置くこと
寄せ箸ー料理の入った器を箸で寄せること
刺し箸ー料理に箸を刺すこと
指し箸ー食事中に箸で人をさすこと


などがあります。
細かく分類すると、もっとたくさんあるみたいですが、今日はこれだけにしておきます。

日本の文化は独特ですが、覚えておくと、日本人とのコミュニケーションが少しスムーズになるかもしれませんね。
