みなさんは「手につかない」と言う表現を知っていますか？「〜が手につかない」と言う表現は気持ちが落ち着かず、集中できないという時に使います。
先週とてもショックな事件がありました。長く日本の総理大臣を務めた安倍さんが銃で撃たれて亡くなりました。私はこのニュースを聞いた時、とてもびっくりして信じられませんでした。テレビを見ていると、たくさんの人がこの事件にショックを受けていて、特に安倍さんと一緒に仕事をしていた人は「安倍さんが亡くなったことがショックで仕事が手につかない」と言っている人が多いようです。
「うれしくて仕事が手につかない」と言うこともできます。これは何かうれしいことがあって、興奮して仕事に集中できないという意味です。
他にも、試合の結果が気になって勉強が手につかない、うれしくて何も手につかないなど、この表現は日常会話でよく使います。
みなさんは、最近仕事が手につかなくなるほどうれしい出来事はありましたか？よかったら私のレッスンに来て教えて下さい。

落ち着く：おちつく　feel at ease, calm down
興奮している：こうふんしている　be excited
うれしくてなにも手につかない：I'm so happy that I can’t focus on anything
