I’ve contemplated some thoughts lately about the importance of having your own identity as a woman, especially when you are in partnerships. The thing about marriage and being a mother is that it consumes you , as you take on a new role, you slowly lose your identity. I have always believed in the importance of financial freedom and having your own hobbies and goals because you are an individual first. I think marriage is a union of two people building a life together which means two people are capable. The idea of a savior will likely lead to unrealistic expectations and you will likely get hurt. So, keep your identity and continue to build it even if you marry a a good man, you never know when it is yourself that will save you one more time.
