Qu’est-ce que le droit du sol ?

Le droit du sol (jus soli) est la règle de droit accordant la nationalité à une personne physique née sur le territoire national, quelle que soit la nationalité de ses parents. Il se distingue du droit du sang (jus sanguinis) qui stipule que l’enfant né d’au moins un parent français obtient automatiquement la nationalité française à sa naissance, quel que soit son lieu de naissance. 
Jusqu’à la Deuxième Guerre mondiale, la plupart des pays européens qui étaient aussi pays d’émigration ont fait primer le droit du sang comme le critère principal d’attribution de la nationalité à la naissance. L’immigration de masse qui se développa après la guerre a amené les pays à simplifier le droit d’accès à la nationalité en intégrant des éléments du droit du sol. Ce qui a permis de faciliter la naturalisation et l’intégration des enfants d’immigrants de deuxième et troisième génération.

Quelle est la règle en France ?

Depuis la deuxième moitié du XVIe siècle, le jus sanguinis et le jus soli ont toujours coexisté dans le droit français. Selon les époques, l’un ou l’autre de ces deux principes a prévalu. Dans sa forme actuelle, le droit du sol permet à tout enfant né en France de parents étrangers d’acquérir de plein droit et de façon automatique la nationalité française à ses 18 ans. Une condition : il doit résider en France à cette date et y avoir eu sa résidence effective et habituelle pendant une période continue ou discontinue d’au moins cinq ans, depuis l’age de 11 ans. Il n’a aucune démarche à faire, mais doit néanmoins prouver sa nationalité pour obtenir une carte d’identité ou un passeport.

As a beginner, there're some vocabularies that you didn't learn before, and native speaker's speed seems too fast to understand. But don't worry, let's do it step by step. 
1st time: listen and catch the words you know already, have a guess about the content.
2nd time: look at the text to check if you guessed it right. 
3rd time: listen one more time, repeat after it.
4th time: practice until you can speak as the normal speed without looking at the text.

我生病了，身体很不舒服。
wǒ shēng bìng le ， shēn tǐ hěn bù shū fú 。
I got sick,(body) was not feeling very well.
我头痛、咳嗽，全身没有力气。
wǒ tóu tòng 、 ké sòu ， quán shēn méi yǒu lì qì 。
I had a headache, a cough, and no energy in my body.
我和老板请假，去医院看病。
wǒ hé lǎo bǎn qǐng jià ， qù yī yuàn kàn bìng 。
I took leave from work with my boss and went to the hospital.

生病 Sickness （Beginner）

A businessman in China has announced that his workers can take days off if they're not in a good mood.

It has been called "unhappiness leave." And Yu Donglai, who is the founder of a supermarket chain called Pang Dong Lai, said his employees can use 10 days of this leave each year.

"I want every staff member to have freedom. Everyone has times when they're not happy, so if you're not happy, do not come to work," Yu said earlier this year.

He added that shop managers cannot deny workers this leave if they ask for it.

This leave is in addition to the days off that the company's employees already have.

According to the South China Morning Post, Pang Dong Lai workers get between 30 and 40 days of leave each year, as well as five days off during New Year. Their working days are seven hours long, and employees don't work on weekends.

Yu said of his company: "We do not want to be big. We want our employees to have a healthy and relaxed life, so that the company will too."

The average monthly salary at Pang Dong Lai is about $970, which is much higher than the average in China for workers in similar jobs.

Yu has 13 shops in Henan province, and they have become known for their customer service. He's known as a good boss in a country where many workers are said to be feeling burned out at work.
