So when I was deciding which topic to focus on for our second episode I really only needed to look at what the people I work with are actually asking for. One of the most common topics that I discuss with people is presentations. Presentations can be great opportunities to use those English skills that you work so hard on, but they also have their own stresses and challenges. Today we’re going to look at some vocabulary that you might hear when watching a presentation and some that you might want to use when giving your own. At the end we also have our 'big discussion question' to help you with your speaking practice. You can find the vocabulary from this podcast in the vocabulary sets on my profile. はい、こんにちはよう平先生です。
今日はN4N5の ボキャブラリーで、あまり　よくない発音（はつおん）のしかたの話（はなし）をします。
えー、今から話す あまりよくない発音（はつおん）のしかたですが、たくさんの生徒（せいと）が しています。 
はい、じゃあさっそく、例（たと）えば、”切手（きって）” スタンプ(stamp)ですね。これをたくさんの生徒（せいと）が　“きぃ  て”と言います。えー、じゃあ、もう一度いい発音(はつおん）を言ますね。
”きって”。わるい発音が”きぃ て”、 はい、これはちがいは分かりますか。えー、そうですね、『き』小さい『っ』『て』なんですが、この小さい”っ”は音楽（おんがく）のスタッカートえー英語のstaccarto ですねえー中国語で”断音”ですねえ、そのすか、スタッカートを使わなければいけません。
”きって”ですね、もし使わなかったら”きぃて”。これは”来ます”のて形動詞（けいどうし）、te form verb の”来て”と思ってしまうんですね。はい、いいですか。 
えー、他（ほか）にも”帰（かえ）って”、”帰ります”のて形動詞、te form verbですね。これをスタッカートを使わなかったら”かえぇて” 、これはチェンジ(change)の”変（か）えて”　”変えます”のて形動詞（けいどうし）、”変（か）えて”と思ってしまうんですね。
じゃ、他にも”買（か）います”のて形動詞”買（か）って”、これをスタッカートを使わずに言うとか。”かぁて”、 えー、”勝（か）ちます”の命令形（めいれいけい）、imperative verb、命令系の”かて” と思ってしまうんです。
他にも10分ten minutes ですね。十分（shi fen）ですね。えー10分、これをスタッカートを使わないで言うと”じゅうぶん” えーenough”じゅうぶん”に えー聞こえます。はい、ですから、あ、小さい”っ”はスタッカートを使ってください。はいえー今日も聞いてくれてありがとうございます。

What is 쌤통? 

The word "쌤통" means the feeling of delight in someone's misfortune or failure.

In fact, there is a technical term for this in psychology.
Schadenfreude. 
"Schadenfreude" is a German word that refers to the experience of pleasure or joy that comes from witnessing or learning about others’ misfortune.

"Especially, when someone I am jealous of makes a mistake and stumbles in front of others, I find myself secretly happy."
When you feel this, you can say 쌤통이다. 

But be careful!
it is generally considered a negative emotion so you should not express that emotion inside out.

한국에는 길을 걷다 보면 편의점을 자주 볼 수 있습니다. 서울처럼 큰 도시뿐만 아니라, 작은 마을에도 편의점이 있습니다. 편의점은 하루 24시간, 일주일 7일 동안 계속 열려 있어서 언제든지 이용할 수 있습니다.

편의점에서는 여러 가지 물건을 팔고 있습니다. 물, 음료수, 과자, 라면, 도시락, 과일 등 간단한 음식은 물론이고, 치약, 비누, 휴지 같은 생활용품도 있습니다. 또, 편의점에서는 휴대폰 충전기, 양말, 우산도 살 수 있어서 갑자기 필요한 물건이 생겼을 때 편리합니다.

최근에는 편의점에서 간단한 식사를 하는 사람들도 많아졌습니다. 도시락이나 컵라면을 사서 편의점 안에서 먹을 수 있습니다. 대부분의 편의점에는 전자레인지와 뜨거운 물이 있어서 바로 먹을 수 있게 도와줍니다. 어떤 편의점은 작은 테이블과 의자도 있어서 앉아서 먹을 수도 있습니다.

편의점에서는 음식이나 물건을 사는 것 외에도 다양한 서비스를 이용할 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 편의점에서 택배를 보낼 수 있고, 공과금을 낼 수도 있습니다. 또, 복사기나 팩스를 사용할 수 있는 곳도 있습니다. 요즘은 편의점 안에 현금자동입출금기(ATM)도 있어서 돈을 찾거나 보낼 수도 있습니다.
