1. El ají en Perú

小王子所访问的下一个星球上住着一个酒鬼。
The next planet was inhabited by a tippler.
访问时间非常短，可是它却使小王子非常忧伤。
This was a very short visit, but it plunged the little prince into deep dejection.
“你在干什么？”小王子问酒鬼，这个酒鬼默默地坐在那里，面前有一堆酒瓶子，有的装着酒，有的是空的。
"What are you doing there?" he said to the tippler, whom he found settled down in silence before a collection of empty bottles and also a collection of full bottles.
“我喝酒。”他阴沉忧郁地回答道。
"I am drinking," replied the tippler, with a lugubrious air.
“你为什么喝酒？”小王子问道。
"Why are you drinking?" demanded the little prince.
“为了忘却。”酒鬼回答。

"So that I may forget," replied the tippler.
小王子已经有些可怜酒鬼。他问道：“忘却什么呢？”
"Forget what?" inquired the little prince, who already was sorry for him.
酒鬼垂下脑袋坦白道：“为了忘却我的羞愧。”
"Forget that I am ashamed," the tippler confessed, hanging his head.
“你羞愧什么呢？”小王子很想救助他。
"Ashamed of what?" insisted the little prince, who wanted to help him.
“我羞愧我喝酒。”酒鬼说完以后就再也不开口了。
"Ashamed of drinking!" The tippler brought his speech to an end, and shut himself up in an impregnable silence.
小王子迷惑不解地离开了。
And the little prince went away, puzzled.
在旅途中，他自言自语地说道：“这些大人确实真叫怪。”
"The grown-ups are certainly very, very odd," he said to himself, as he continued on his journey.

我今日听咗李克勤嘅《红日》，
觉得打满咗鸡血，
所以想帮你都打吓鸡血。

呢个歌其实系李克勤写俾自己嘅，
佢想帮自己打气。 

李克勤写呢首歌嘅歌词嗰时，
因为拍戏好几日都冇好好休息，
但系因为好赶，
所以佢当日凌晨三点拍完戏，
就喺停车场写歌词。
从凌晨三点一直写到天光。

佢睇住其他艺人落班，
跟住又睇住啲艺人朝早翻黎翻工，
佢心入面觉得好难受，
自己嘅拍档已经翻咗屋企，
而自己仲要匿埋喺呢度写歌词，
点解命运要咁样对佢。

《红日》嘅歌词入面有一句话系命运颠沛流离，
讲嘅其实就系李克勤当时嘅状态。
但系李克勤知道自己一定要坚持落去，
唔可以随便放弃，
所以佢就喺歌入面写咗不应舍弃。

无论宜家情况几咁唔好，

要继续努力，

What are the most popular topics in IELTS Speaking Part 2 (the long turn)?

A social media ban for children under 16 has passed the Australian Senate and will soon become a world-first law.

The law will make social media platforms — TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, Reddit, X and Instagram — liable for fines of up to $33 million for failures to prevent children younger than 16 from holding accounts.

The platforms will have one year to work out how they could implement the ban before penalties come into effect.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the ban is necessary, having previously argued that there is a "clear, causal link" between social media and the harm done to the mental health of young Australians.

Opposition Senator Maria Kovacic shared similar views.

"The core focus of this legislation is simple: It demands that social media companies take reasonable steps to identify and remove underage users from their platforms," she told the Senate.

"This is a responsibility these companies should have been fulfilling long ago, but for too long they have shirked these responsibilities in favor of profit," she added.

But while many support the ban, some argue the legislation could cause more harm than it prevents.

Senator David Shoebridge, from the Greens party, said mental health experts agreed that the ban could dangerously isolate many children who used social media to find support.

"This policy will hurt vulnerable young people the most, especially in regional communities and especially the LGBTQI community, by cutting them off," Shoebridge told the Senate.

Opponents also argue the ban would isolate children, deprive them of the positive aspects of social media, drive them to the dark web, discourage children too young for social media to report harm and reduce incentives for platforms to improve online safety.

While the law is the first of its kind worldwide, other countries have discussed similar measures.
