みなさん、こんにちは。ミッチです。ご視聴どうもありがとうございます。今日は視聴者さんからのリクエストにお応えしたいと思います。いや、視聴者の皆様から、リクエストが届きまして... (ガサガサガサガサ...)すみません。『さも、リクエストがたくさんあるかのように、振る舞ってしまいました。』

それから、もう一つ。ごめんなさい。『先ほどカメラの反対側に、さもアシスタントがいるかのように、振る舞ってしまいました。』でも実は、カメラの反対側はただの壁です。

ターゲット表現：
はい。と言う訳で、今日は先ほどあった『さも、たくさんリクエストがあるかのように......』や『さもアシスタントがいるかのように......』と言う文の、『さも+(普通形)+かのように』と言う形をマスターして行ってみましょう！

『さも+(普通形)+かのように』と言う形を使うと、
スペイン語で言うと、"(Aunque no es verdad, alguien hace algo) como si fuera/hiciera"
英語で言うと、"(Although it is not true, someone does something) as if he/she were/did"
の様な表現が日本語でできます。

応用練習：
それでは早速、この形を使って、次のスペイン語、もしくは英語を日本語で表現してみましょう。

スペイン語：como si supiera hablar japonés con fluidez
英語：as if he/she could speak Japanese fluently
日本語：さも日本語がペラペラに話せるかのように

②
スペイン語：como si fuera rico/rica
英語：as if he/she were rich
日本語：さもお金持ちであるかのように

③
スペイン語：como si no tuviera dinero
英語：as if he/she didn't have money
日本語：さもお金を持っていないかのように

④
スペイン語：como si él mismo / ella misma fuera la víctima
英語：as if he/she were the victim
日本語：さも自分が被害者であるかのように

⑤
スペイン語：como si supiera todo
英語：as if he/she knew everything
日本語：さもなんでも知っているかのように

⑥
スペイン語：como si supiera nada
英語：as if he/she knew nothing
日本語：さも何も知らないかのように

まとめ：
『さも+(普通形)+かのように』と言う表現を練習しました。この表現を使うと、
スペイン語で言うと、"(Aunque no es verdad, alguien hace algo) como si fuera/hiciera"
英語で言うと、"(Although it is not true, someone does something) as if he/she were/did"
の様な表現が日本語でできます。

Hello and Welcome to All Things Pronunciation

Another current part 2 topic with example answer.
As I commute into the city for work every day, I always do my best to avoid the rush hour traffic, which is not always easy. I usually get up at 6 am and catch the bus at 6.30 to beat the heavy traffic, and go for a relaxing coffee before starting work. 

 However, about 2 weeks ago, I slept in on a monday morning and didn’t wake up until 8am,missing the early bus, and not catching the next one until 8.30, which i knew would mean being late for work due to the traffic.

Normally the bus ride into the city centre takes about 45 minutes, but because of taking the bus during the peak rush hour it now took almost 2 hours. The traffic was unbelievable, and cars were bumper to bumper, moving at a snail’s pace, for the entire journey.

What made it even worse was that the bus was full, and passengers were packed like sardines , which also meant I had to stand for the full journey. To try and pass the time, I just read the  news using my mobile phone, as well as messaging my boss to let him know I would be late for work due to the heavy traffic.

I’m not the  most patient person and being stuck in a traffic jam like this is something I really hate, and always something I try to avoid. I also take pride in always being on time for work, and felt absolutely terrible  to be over an hour late on this day. I now set 2 alarms every night to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.
