I woke up at night and I couldn't sleep. I learnt some English and Maths to teach my kids because they ask me sometimes. I felt tired but at least, I had something to do. I hoped I would fall asleep soon.

The verbal tenses have to be consistent.

I woke up last night and I couldn't fall back asleep. I learnt some English and Maths to teach my kids because they have questions sometimes. I feel tired but at least I am doing something. I hope I will fall asleep soon.
