Please correct me, thank you! When it comes to financial management, most people consider it is better to build up the habit of saving money. In my opinion, this thought is definitely reasonable. There are many reasons why different individuals agree that saving is a virtue, but I will pick three in my discussion below. Our lives are more assured if we have a emergency fund. We cannot predict when there will be an accident. When disasters unfortunately strike, a great fortune can prevent us from losing our quality of life. Moreover, the emergency fund may help us recover faster and get back to the ordinary life. For example, my mother was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. She was not able to work in a few months and had to receive a surgery treatment. Luckily, the money she had saved was enough for better treatments and supporting my family in the meantime. If it were not for the fund, the illness of my parent would be a serious crisis to the family. Investment is another reason why a lot of people save money. The investment here not only indicates stock markets or real estates, it also includes everything that improves our mind or knowledge. Take my own experience as an example, I have a fund for language learning. I save half of my tutor salary for English speaking lessons, and look forward to study abroad in the future. I believe the money was spent for self-improvement, and it is beneficial for achieving my life goal. With On the other hand, one who spends his or her money recklessly often buy items to satisfied the desire. They will not improve any skill and probably stuck in a stagnant life. Any combination of these reasons could compel a grown adults to save money for the future. It is because the fund will be extremely useful when we retire, or crisis occurs and also when we pursue self-improvement.
