It all depends on the kind of stove you have in mind.
"la cuisinière" is the kind of stove you put your kettle on. It is usually combined with an electric oven. In case of a gas oven, you can say "la gazinière" instead of "la cuisinière".
"le poêle" is the kind you put wood in, in order to heat up the room.
"le fourneau" is an old oven, but it is commonly used figuratively to say that someone is spending a lot of time and/or energy cooking.
Ex : Paul est resté au fourneau (ou: aux fourneaux) toute la matinée. - Paul spent the whole morning cooking.
