So what is difference between present simple and will for habits ?

In this context I think it might refer to the army as something to be proud of.

Pride means both dignity and feeling particularly well about something we have done. Eg: I felt pride when I got my exam’s mark. I had worked very hard for it and it had been a difficult one too.

We use ‘will or won’t’ to talk about the future only. There is one use, ‘spontaneous decision’ in which you decide something at the same time you express it. But you are talking about a future action anyway. Eg.: at a restaurant -I’ll have a salad and roast chicken.
