Christianity emphasizes the use of free agency, the power to choose between good and evil. No Christian religion should ever “force you” to practice a certain doctrine or belief. Yes, there are “rules” and covenants to keep, but that’s all with your CHOICE.
Basic practices of Christianity include daily prayer, scripture study, meditation, going to church at least 1x a week, and building relationships with family. As you learn more, you will learn principles of forgiveness, missionary service, accept church responsibilities, and service to others.
This should all be done in moderation and step by step. Never feel “forced” to do 100 or even 10 things from any one church. Don’t strictly rely on leaders for every small and big thing, because life situations are unique. Pray to God in those times, and honestly, you yourself will find the best answer for your situation, to overcome or to learn.
