Once upon a time, there was a queen and a princess living in a castle.The queen has a magic mirror which can answer any questions from her.She always wants to know whether she is the most beautiful woman in the world. The answers are always “yes” from the mirror. Once she heard the “yes” as the answer becoming very pride , satisfied and happy.

The answers are always “yes” from the mirror. Once she hears* the “yes” as the answer, she (subject) becomes* very prideful* , satisfied and happy.

You can also say she becomes “full of pride” Great job (: I just fixed it to “hears” to keep it all in the same tense/ time zone of storytelling
