What does V+자니 mean?. Is it used to express that you werr worried/hesitating to do that verb?.
E.g 유학을 하자니 성적이 충분한지 모르겠어요.
전화를 하자니 시간이 너무 늦었어요.

You're correct. -자니 means the situation is not easy for you to do something. So you hesitate.
Ex) 집에 가자니 시간이 늦어서 가족들이 깰 것 같아요
