Hi Eain, The subjunctive mood is the verb form used to explore a hypothetical situation or to express a wish, a demand, or a suggestion. Note the verb form changes when a subjunctive is used. For example, these sentences all use subjunctives: If I were you, I would eat less sweets. I wish it were real. I propose he work full time. I ask that you be truthful. If I were free, I'd go.

The subjunctive in English is rarely used but you can use it after adjectives which express an obligation. The form is that of the present except for the third person singular where you do not add the 's' anymore: Ex: It is important that he arrive early It is essential that he go to university It is obligatory that she be on time. Although for all these examples you can use the present simple: That he arriveS That he goES that she IS.
