The picture I chose is of a place I believe is among the prettiest in Rio de Janeiro. I took the picture in last January during my visit to the Parque Lage, an ecocultural complex in which the building is placed. The picture shows a squattish building with a large portal that leads to the main door and windows of wide proportions on the sides. There is a plain garden and a fountain both facing the edifice. On the background, it is possible to see the monument of Christ, the Redeemer. The building dates back to the 19th century. I could talk about it for many more paragraphs, but I would rather just say one classic Brazilian film had a scene shot in there. The movie, based on a homonymous modernist book, is called Macunaíma. Snoop Dogg also recorded one videoclip there of the song "Beautiful".
