粽子 (zòng zi) is an indispensable food for 端午节 (duān wǔ jié), which is known as Dragon Boat Festival. It is a pyramid-shaped glutinous rice dumpling wrapped in Ruo leaves or reed leaves.
In general, northern Chinese prefer sweet Zongzi filled with red bean paste or jujube, while southerners like savory ones with fillings such as duck egg yolk, fresh meat and ham.
