Does anyone else agree that listening to a song in your chosen language (of learning) is beneficial?

Of course. Listening to music in your target language can also help you improve both your grammar and vocabulary, but it's especially helpful for improving your pronunciation. Nothing else gets your brain accustomed to the sounds of a new language as efficiently as finding some songs you love so much that you can to listen to them over and over.

Doesn't work with Chinese, but might be good for Japanese, especially slow ones.

Depends on the song 😄If the words in the song are clearly audible, then yes

My target language is Spanish. I am a guitar player who enjoys singing as well. I play and sing Spanish music sometimes. I find it to be highly effective because music connects lyrics, sounds, and feelings.
