It means to put all your effort on a single plan.
Ex- I am learning different skills cause I don't want to put my all eggs in one basket.

Meaning=To rely on a single source (as of income), rather than diversifying.
Example:They felt that buying more real estate than they already had would be putting all their eggs in one basket.
