Hi! I’m going to France next month. I know France is like pastry heaven but I don’t eat dairy. How do I say the following? I don’t speak French so I plan on printing these out and showing them to the waiter: I can’t eat dairy products. Does this contain any dairy? Do you have anything that’s dairy free? Thank you! I am French (and live in France) and can eat neither dairy nor gluten, so it's possible to survive without dairy! - dairy = produits laitiers - I can't eat dairy products = Je ne peux pas manger de produits laitiers / Je suis intolérant aux produits laitiers. - Does this contain any dairy? = Est-ce que c'est fait à base de produits laitiers ? - Do you have anything that's dairy free? = Est-ce que vous avez quelque chose qui ne contient pas de lait/de produits laitiers ? Most pastries contain butter...
