Are both sentences grammatically correct?
He graduated in 2017 from the university.
He graduated from the university in 2017.
May I say 'in the year 2017'?

They're both correct, but the first one is less frequently used. The second one is very common, as is this third option, "In 2017, he graduated from the university".
