i have to say even tho there may be chinese or cantonese translations for staycation, people tend to use the English word "staycation" anyway. So if you purposely use the Chinese word for it, it may sound weird. I think it is a bit like when we can say "你好" when we greet but in general we just say "hello" with a Cantonese accent that turns into 哈囉. Hope it helps. :)

in Hong Kong, we use the English word. But we can say 留家度假 （Lau4 Gaa1 Dou6 Gaa3) or 宅度假 (Zaak6 Dou6 Gaa3)
