Some people have already told me that they have a block to learn a foreign language, that they have tried several times but they give up overcoming this resistance. To learn a language you have to "play", speak without being afraid of making mistakes, in case you forget a word you can communicate in another way, with a gesture or using another similar word that helps you communicate what you want. You have to be confident that you are going to manage to speak and communicate without the worry that the person listening to you is going to judge you or correct you if you make a mistake? stop thinking about your mistakes. Do as a child who speaks without worrying: he makes mistakes but he also gets it right and manages to communicate, free from judgements. And so they learn, they acquire new words, they observe the people around them communicating, speaking. Of course you have to learn the rules, they are important, but when it comes to speaking, your main focus has to be on what you want to communicate and not on whether you are choosing a more appropriate or less appropriate word, whether you are right or wrong, "am I making a mistake"? Stop that and focus on what you want to communicate, then you can overcome that barrier. Oral or written practice is very important for students to develop their fluency. The more opportunities they have to speak, the better. In my classes I create opportunities for you to put your knowledge into practice, in various ways, either through games, discussion about something I present or the student brings to class. We also do exercises to reinforce important learning points. O link para minhas aulas é: italki.com/teatcher/7934418
