You're right for both! Takeaway can mean to remember an idea or important fact. But it's also used in the context of "taking away" or "taking home" food you've brought from a restaurant or shop (which is what it is referring to in this scenario). The second meaning to my knowledge is only used in my home country (Australia) and England. Good job Toyger, that's a tricky word and you nailed it :)
