Could you help me please?

Rich folks may ride on camels, But it an't so easy for'em to see out of needle's eye

I am translating "Martin Chuzzlewit", by Dickens, and I saw this expression in introduction. So, would someone please explaining this expression in English in simpler words?

I would appreciate your kind comments.

Regards

"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

It's from the bible. Other than that, I don't know.

Hi guys, so according to some interpretations, needles eye is a very small side entrance/ gate that is said that existed in Jerusalem (some other interpretations says Damascus) and when Jesus refered that a rich person would be more able to pass needles eye then to enter the heavens he was referring to this gate cause rich people would need to unload their camels of the goods they might be carrying in order to enter the city so the figurative interpretation is that a rich person would need to left behind their interest in material goods in order to enter heaven... Here is another explanation on this:

The interpretation that seems to make sense is this. The "Eye of the Needle" was indeed a narrow gateway into Jerusalem. Since camels were heavily loaded with goods and riders, they would need to be un-loaded in order to pass through. Therefore, the analogy is that a rich man would have to similarly unload his material possessions in order to enter heaven.

It was interesting to know that the original one is written in the Bible. Thanks Katarina and Daniel for mentioning:) I got this link, you may find it interesting:

Anyway, I think he wants to say that rich folks can see far or reach to a aristocratic status using the power of their wealth (maybe camel signifies the amount of their wealth and comfort they are living with) but it might be difficult for them to lead their lives without or with little material comfort(maybe the tiny hole of a needle signifies the lack of wealth or little worldly comfort)

This is just my thought and may not necessarily be the correct interpretation.
