I need help, how do I say "I was freezing" In Danish "jeg frøs"

I will be happy for an explanation.

If I look at the verbs it says in Italian

Freddare,  presente

freddavo, imperfetto

But I cannot find out what to say in Italian.

I will be happy  if someone can tell me.
