York if we are talking ENGLAND - and excluding Scotland and Wales - the Shambles, the river that runs through the town, the amazing history of Viking and Roman occupation - the Minister and so on the list goes.

Spain - so hard to choose between them but I do love Granada surrounded by the magnificent Sierra Nevada with the Al Hambra towering over the city.
